The military figured that out a long time ago. You'll need the model number to order the staff unless you have the part number, which is probably somewhere on the movement.
If not you might be able to find it in the BestFit catalogue or post a picture and someone on the board may be able to identify it. If you post a picture include any writing in text because sometimes it is difficult to make out on a picture. Also, if it needs to be identified through BestFit then a picture or the setting parts would be helpful. Cyma parts may be listed as Tavannes (sp?).
